With a career path that follows her own playbook, Dawn is driven by her desire to provide for her family, work with great people, and make a difference.
As a corporate lawyer and business advisor, Dawn provides legal advice and shapes business strategies for local and international organizations and businesses. Prior, Dawn was a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte Consulting, travelling for work across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Now an entrepreneur, Dawn's business, Linkd Healthcare, enables healthcare practitioners to eliminate administrative burden and instead to focus on patient care and the growth of their business. Linkd provides a broad range of core administrative, business management, and technology services that are accessible to the solo practitioner as well as group practices.

In addition to running her business and supporting her active family with two young boys and her husband Eric, a fourth generation dentist, Dawn serves on the Boards for the Girl’s Empowerment Mission (GEM), the Maryland Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Maryland Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, for which she is the Immediate Past President.
Describe your typical day
“I try to start each day with a pre-workday workout. I find that it helps me focus my daily to-do list and puts me in a good mood. I like to wear workout clothes that coordinate and that I’d wear out on a casual hike or quick trip to the store. Then it's off to work. I spend most of my days in meetings. For work, my dress changes depending on my meeting line up for the day. I find it easier to dress in standard business attire in lieu of business casual clothes.”
What's the fashion dress in your industry?
“The dress for men and women in our industry differs widely and by region. In the Mid-Atlantic, men's styles are more casual/trendy and they often take meetings in jeans, while women more typically wear business casual or more traditional attire. While I favor traditional business attire, I generally switch to business casual when working on the West Coast, in the South, or Mid-West."
What's your favourite look for an important meeting?
“I’d describe my style as classic with a twist. For important meetings I tend to favour black suits. If wearing a dress and jacket, I enjoy dresses with unexpected detailing that can easily convert from day to night or stand on their own without the jacket. If wearing a skirt and blouse, I’ll add shirts with a pop of color or edgy detailing. For our upcoming trade shows, I’ll wear dressy jeans with a black quilted vest and a classic button down shirt. I also love a good statement coat.”

"For my upcoming business travel, I’ll pack black and/or blue dresses with suit jackets that have a little flair, several pashminas, my trusty jeans, leather and suede jackets, and several pairs of boots plus workout clothes."
Where do you like to shop?
"My default is Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom based on where we live; although I prefer boutiques that have clothing you don’t find everywhere. I most recently purchased a new Vince leather jacket and I have my eye out for a dressy jean jacket that I can wear over a dress for an upcoming speaking engagement."

"Designer wise I love Armani, Chanel, and Prada, but I’m just as happy wearing Lilly, etcetera, Alice & Olivia, or Theory. On the celebrity front, I always admire Charlize Theron’s and Gwyneth Paltrow’s styles."
Describe a typical weekend
"Off-duty I love a comfortable pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a statement jacket. My typical fall weekends involve nights out with friends, attending fall festivals with the kids, and watching sporting events."
